Routes to and from the airport
Košice airport (Letisko Košice) is served by bus route 23, which directly connects both airport terminals with the railway station and the bus station (Staničné námestie stop) and calls at important interchange points SOŠ automobilová, Námestie osloboditeľov and Jakabov palác. Direct connections to other parts of the city are not possible, therefore, we recommend using the Journey Planner.
Fare information
For the majority of journeys to and from the airport, a 60-minute ticket is recommended. The full fare is 1.00 €, reduced fare is available for 0.50 €. For luggage, a 0.90 € ticket is required, which is also valid for 60 minutes and can be used for bicycles as well.
All tickets can be purchased in yellow ticket machines near the boarding platform of route 23.
If you are a Slovak cellular carrier customer, need a full fare ticket and do not have enough cash, it is possible to purchase an SMS ticket for 1.10 € by sending an empty message to 1166. Such ticket is valid for 60 minutes on all routes. Keep in mind that you need to receive an SMS back from the ticket provider before boarding any service, which might take up to 2 minutes.
