Zaujímavosťou je, že na tomto mieste bola v roku 1989 ako prvá otvorená hranica medzi NDR a SRN - bolo to 9. novembra 1989 o 23:29. Most sa inak správne volá Bösebrücke a leží na ňom aj prvá obnovená električková trať do západného Berlína - k Virchowovej klinike.
