Cieľom cca kilometrového skúšobného úseku trolejového vedenia je vyskúšať, či by postupne na niektorých linkách malo zmysel zaviesť elektrobusy, ktoré by zhruba na 10 až 30 percentách trasy, teda v kopcovitých oblastiach, jazdili ako trolejbusy.
