Due to the construction of a new bus station and closure of Mlynské nivy St., there are significant changes coming up in public transport around the central bus station starting on 18 February 2019. The original public transit stop Autobusová stanica on Mlynské nivy St. will be closed and routes 50, 70, 205, X72, N61 will be diverted. Replacement stops will be provided on Páričkova St. (for routes 50, 205, X72, N61) and Košická St. and Prievozská St. (for route 70).
The public transit stops close to the bus station are accessible by a 5 – 7 minute walk:
- Autobusová stanica (on Páričkova St.): lines 21, 25, 50, 88, 205, X72, N61
- Košická, Autobusová stanica (on Svätoplukova St.): routes 202, 212, X72, N72
- Košická, Autobusová stanica (on Prievozská St.): routes 70, 202, 212, X72, N72
- Košická, Autobusová stanica (on Košická St.): routes 68, 70
- Twin City (on Karadžičova St.): lines 50, 78, 88, 210

- Routes 205 X72 from Autobusová stanica stop on Páričkova St. towards Nemocnica sv. Michala
- Route 70 from Košická, Autobusová stanica stop on Košická St. towards Most SNP
- Routes 202 212 from Košická, Autobusová stanica stop on Svätoplukova St. to Hodžovo námestie stop
Services from the bus station to the main railway station
- Route 210 or night route N33 from Twin City stop, which is accessible by a 7-minute walk via Továrenská St., towards Hlavná stanica
- Night route N61 from Autobusová stanica stop on Páričkova St. towards Hlavná stanica
Services from the bus station to the airport
Unfortunately, there are no direct services from the bus station to the airport (Letisko M. R. Štefánika) during the day. Therefore, we recommend using one of the following connections:
- Routes 202 212 from Košická, Autobusová stanica stop on Prievozská St. towards Čiližská / Cintorín Vrakuňa with transfer for route 96 at Prievozská stop towards Letisko
- Route 50 from Autobusová stanica stop at Páričkova St. towards OD Slimák with transfer for route 96 at Maximiliána Hella stop towards Letisko
- Route 205 from Autobusová stanica stop at Páričkova St.towards Rádiová with transfer for route 61 at Sabinovská stop towards Letisko
For the three connections above, at least a 60-minute ticket is required.
- At night, a direct connection is possible by means of route N61 from Autobusová stanica stop on Páričkova St. towards Letisko (a 30-minute ticket is enough
