Steam locomotive Katka or Krutwig runs only on Saturday and Sunday, except services at 9:10 from Čermeľ and at 10:00 from Alpinka. Other trains are pulled by diesel locomotive.

  • The Košice's Children railway (KDHŽ) is run by the association OZ Detská železnica Košice (operator), Železnice Slovenskej republiky (operator of tracks) and by power from Košice city also by Dopravný podnik mesta Košice, a. s. (check on tracks).
  • Children up to 3 years have the free fare and other demand of the free fare does not exist. For travelling by the Children's railway (KDHŽ) are valid only tickets from the operator - OZ Detská železnica Košice.

Transport conditions

  1. Before getting on or in train you have to buy a ticket in terms of valid fare.
  2. After getting on you have to mark your ticket by the conductor.
  3. While travelling are valid terms and conditions of Prepravný poriadok Košickej detskej historickej železnice v Košiciach.
